Letters of Wishes: The Secrets of Trust

We discuss the basic components of a simple letter of wishes including investment instructions, beneficiary designations, appointment of a ‘consultant’, and other discreet details left only for the eyes of the Trustees. Secrecy and confidentiality are important aspects of the letter of wishes that are not replicated in other documents. Legal expertise is advised when drafting the first draft, at a minimum.
